Looking for a licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psy.D) to join a unique practice. We see patients from all backgrounds and the ideal candidate will be comfortable providing therapy for: general mental health, LGBTQ+ patients, and substance use disorder related mental health needs.
Applicant Requirements
- Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Social Work) preferred but associate level considered
- Able to be credentialed under multiple health plans
- Certification or certification eligibility as a LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psy.D
- Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
- Ability to work through brief patient contacts and make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions.
- Should be comfortable with the pace of primary care, working with an interdisciplinary team, and have strong communication skills.
- Good knowledge of psycho-pharmacology
- Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR)
Position Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health services to all individuals 16+ years old.
- Complete initial intake and diagnostic assessments on all clients referred including developing initial treatment plans and updates treatment plans to include age appropriate clinical interventions/objectives/goals that are observable and measurable.
- Assessment and DSM-V/ICD-10 diagnostics for patients referred by medical providers
- Provide brief, evidence based, solution focused behavioral interventions with active development of psychotherapeutic/psychoeducational Behavioral Change Planning
- Cultivate education, administration, and self-management skills for targeted populations with psychological issues impacting physical and/or behavioral health issues
- Promote a smooth interface between care provided throughout the organization and the communities
- Collaborate and co-manage the patient’s behavioral health care with consistent, expeditious feedback to referring practitioners
- Document the clinical behavioral health aspect of patient interventions and tracks the patient referrals to specialty behavioral health care in the Athena Health EHR system.
- Comply with the organization Safety Policies and Procedures. Ensures compliance with governmental licensing and regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Maintain familiarity with and abide by all established facility and departmental policies and procedures, noting changes when they are published/posted.
